SCYTHE STONES

As long as scythes are used there are also scythe stones / whetstones for scythe and sickle. In former times fish form carved stones from different kinds of sandstone were used. Today, aluminium oxide or silicon carbide is used as an abrasive.

We have been manufacturing scythe stones since 1862. Our well-known brands are Silicar ®, Silifix ® and Carsil ®. We offer scythe stones in lengths of 230 mm and 260 mm in various grain qualities.

We manufacture our high-quality scythe stones from green silicon carbide. In addition, we have aluminium oxide stones and combined scythe stones for you in our range of products.

We also manufacture scythe stones in your own brand as a private label manufacturer. You can get your whetstone in the dimensions and grain size you require as well as in your individual packaging.
